THE MAGIC ROOT

 {…and why you should consume it daily}

ginger

I love ginger. I literally put it in EVERYTHING. I throw it in soups, breakfast smoothies, teas, and so much more. I truly believe this is one of the only natural substances we can consume that actually deserves the name “superfood”.

How many of you know some of the health benefits that come from consuming ginger regularly? There are almost too many to count! Here are some reasons why you should get on the ginger train: (Remember: RAW is always best!)

  1. Boosts metabolism: that spicy kick is there for a reason
  2. Antioxidant powerhouse: strengthens your immune system
  3. Anti-cancer properties: Gingerol (active ingredient)
  4. The stomach cure-all: Can help treat chronic indigestion, nausea, and upset stomach
  5. Natural Anti-inflammatory: has been proven to help inflamed joints/muscles and even osteoarthritis
  6. Ginger has been shown to lower blood sugar levels and improve various heart disease risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes.
  7. Reduces chances of Heart Disease and lowers cholesterol levels
  8. Can help treat chronic indigestion

These are just some of the many benefits, do you research to find out more 😉

TIP: Have a cold? DITCH the vitamin C packets and drink this instead!
